DAY 21: Gratitude // READ: Psalm 136:1 & Luke 17:15-16 // REFLECT: No matter the circumstance, we must remember to give God thanks. Gratitude is the least we can show for all God has done for us. Let’s be grateful; let’s choose gratitude today.
DAY 20: Contentment // READ: 1 Timothy 6:6-8 // REFLECT: Contentment is one of the most fortifying characteristics of the Christian faith. It's not merely being satisfied with what you have, but learning to be fulfilled in the God that makes ways out of no way; not being so encumbered by the selfish things of this world that we lose grip of the spiritual prize that awaits us. When we learn contentment, we learn to let go and recognize that God’s grace is ever sufficient, lifting us to the level of godliness that will sustain us in this world and ultimately gain us the greatest of rewards - hearing God say “well done.
DAY 19: Salvation // READ: 2 Corinthians 5:21 // REFLECT: When we think of salvation, we reflect on the ultimate and immeasurable price paid for our deliverance from eternal punishment for sin. However, know that even in troubling times, our God is still able to provide for His children. Lord, we pray you will open doors of opportunity for your people even in a time of famine.
DAY 12: Our Community // READ: Philippians 2:4-7 // REFLECT: In these challenging times it is easy to focus on our own needs and not be concerned about others. We must trust that God is with us to give us boldness in the midst of difficulty. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” Let’s pray for boldness today.
DAY 5: Provision // READ: Luke 12:24 & Psalm 34:10 // REFLECT: Our God is a provider. Even in difficult times we must be prayerful and know that God can open doors and take care of His children. Let’s believe that God will continue to provide for us in our times of need.
DAY 4: Surrender // READ: Matthew 16:24 // REFLECT: In order to truly walk this out, we need vision, we need faith, we need unity - but it all rests on our ability to surrender to GOD.
