Pastor John Sherrod (“Pastor J”) serves as Associate Pastor at Foundation Church in Jamaica, NY, where he leads the Life & Relational Ministries, overseeing men’s, women’s, family, mentorship, and discipleship ministries. Since joining the church in 2002, he has also served in branch church leadership, as Executive Administrator of Red Hook Gospel Tabernacle, and as Operations Administrator for Camp Joharie.

Born in Brooklyn and raised in Queens, Pastor J was called to pastoral ministry with a burden to help disenfranchised men and families rebuild their lives through the abundant life promised in Christ. A graduate of Bethel Bible Institute, Pastor J studied at Nyack College and Alliance Seminary and is pursuing his Doctor of Ministry. Guided by Luke 22:42, his life mission is to serve with the heart of Christ: “Not my will, but Yours be done.”
