Mission Statement

Bethel is a missions-minded church. Our overseas missions during the Summer, gives the greatest number of members the opportunity to participate in evangelism to foreign nations.

We don’t only minister to foreign nations, but locally as well. We, as the body of Christ, participate in outreach on various levels — preaching the Word of God, caring for the sick and shut in, visiting prisons and nursing homes.

Volunteer

“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me. … [Jesus says]‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers,  you did it to me.”

SOUP KITCHEN & PANTRY

Bethel, serves the community through feeding programs such as the Food Pantry and the Soup Kitchen. Prepared meals are distributed twice a week: Tuesdays and Fridays from noon to 2pm.

The Food Pantry distributes nutritious food items on Wednesdays from 9am to noon.

Serving in the community is not only rewarding, but also fulfills the command to go into all the world.

HEALTH FAIR

Bethel’s annual Health Fair is part of it’s Community Day. Among other activities, volunteers present health classes educating the community about healthy eating, ways to pepare healthy meals. Blood pressure monitoring, and testing is done on the spot.

The community is invited to attend and find free articles, food, and fun. We aim to introduce people to Jesus Christ and a prayer table is set up as our mission is to win souls.

COMMUNITY DAY

As Bethel continues its community outreach, many volunteers are needed. Some serve as security, others prepare food, others mingle and witness. Still others in vaying age groups sing worship and praise songs, or praise with the dance.

Some in the community who would never think about entering a church building receive ministry and are prayed for.
