Good day and praise the Lord! Stand courageous today! Meditate on this scripture today:
"Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!"
I'm sure most would agree that the process of "waiting" is no picnic! And especially if the wait is LONG or if you're waiting for something that you REALLY WANT OR NEED - then it seems like an eternity. Funny thing is when we're in those "waiting seasons" of our life, we experience changes in ourselves that we did not recognize or expect. We come to realize that we don't have the "patience" we thought we did; we're not as "loving" as we are when things are comfortable; we find ourselves "grumbling and complaining" more than before. We also experience something that is very dangerous - we begin to "SOLICIT" for another way, another means to get what we've asked the Lord for! Our heart can grow weary, and we stop TRUSTING God. When that happens, we begin to LOSE HOPE. We begin to give up on - not only the "promises" over our lives, but we begin to lose hope in the PROMISE MAKER!
Hope and Courage are so very vital in our walk because of how they relate to one another. There are several meanings for the word "Hope" (confidence, expectation, optimism, faith and COURAGE), but one meaning clearly stands out: "a person or thing in which expectations are centered." Now notice the meaning of the word "Courage": "the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain, etc., without fear." When these meanings are combined, you come up with the only course of action to take during our waiting seasons: "WAIT ON THE LORD AND BE OR GOOD COURAGE." Why? Because God is the only "PERSON" that (1) will guard our hearts and minds, touch our bodies and heal every infirmity, (2) give us peace that surpasses our understanding, (3) begin and complete our faith, (4) strengthen us to go through; make a way out of no way; open doors of immense blessings, not allow us to go through more than we can bear, (5) fight and WIN every battle we face, (6) answer every prayer that we bring to Him, (7) not condemn us when we fall short but is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness, (8) not allow the enemy of our souls to destroy us, (9) is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, (10) can perfect and mature us during the process of waiting. And the list goes on and on - HALLELUJAH!! With this kind of coverage over your life, wouldn't you say that's reason enough to be of good courage! You're in good hands - with Jesus!!
So if you are in your "waiting season", don't be afraid, don't grumble, don't become impatient and go your own way - STAND STILL and see the salvation of the Lord! Remember, "them that WAIT (hope, be courageous) ON LORD will renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles; they will run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
Be bless today and WAIT, I say, on the Lord!!
