STAY CONNECTED

stay connected

Good morning and praise the Lord! Call out to God with confidence today!

Meditate on this scripture today:

Psalm 4:3

"But know that the LORD has set apart for Himself him who is godly; The LORD will hear when I call to Him."

Most everyone today owns a "smartphone" with all kinds of "bells and whistles" included. But as "smart" as they claim to be, all phones and communication devices experience one thing - "blackout" moments. Those are the times when you "lose connection" when speaking, you "drop calls" or you "go silent" and neither you nor your party can hear each other. Your "signal weakens and dies." No matter how much you paid for your phone or your service, you will experience blackout moments. Why? Because your connection is dependent upon the "continued strength" of your signal, which is determined by (a) the distance between you and the transmission tower, (b) your position in relation to the wireless satellite, and (c) the amount of interference within your zone. Fortunately, for the most part, these blackouts are few and far in between and your service basically remains continuous.

Sometimes in our walk with God, we too experience blackout moments; times when we lose connection for a minute, when our prayer life goes silent, when there is a hesitancy to speak to God. When that happens, "check your position" - where you're standing in relation to God! Has an unresolved sin hindered transmission? How about that on-going relationship with an unbeliever that has moved you out of range? Maybe it's the interference of going after secular pursuits (bigger position on the job, higher education, acquiring wealth), or could it be not receiving the answer you wanted that caused a blackout of faith?

Just as a tall, strong signal tower does not change locations, neither does God! He is always able to hear the call of His people. And as a satellite can be re-positioned to boost the signal, so God is our "ever present help in time of need!" He never moves out of range!! Our God "neither sleeps nor slumbers" and "He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." He will never leave you nor forsake you. He loves us with and everlasting love! How's that for continuous service!

So before you start wondering why you're not hearing from God, check your personal connections first and re-position yourself! He's listening for the godly and waiting for their response.

"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me." (John 10:27)

Be blessed and STAY CONNECTED!
